MobileLogix: Performance and Reliability

At the heart of the update

Back to News MobileLogix - Performance and reliability

The latest MobileLogix update focuses on what matters most to forestry professionals in the field: performance and reliability. Every aspect of the application has been optimized to deliver a faster, smoother and more robust experience, even under the most demanding conditions. Here is a detailed look at the improvements that will transform your daily work in the forest.

Material Design 3 interface: a modern and performant look

MobileLogix adopts Google's Material Design 3 visual language, offering an interface that is both modern and highly functional. Data lists load and scroll faster thanks to performance-optimized components. Navigation between screens is smoother with natural transitions that reduce visual fatigue during extended use. Interactive elements are larger and better spaced, making manipulation on touchscreens easier even with work gloves — a detail that makes all the difference in real field conditions.

Smoother map and stutter-free real-time tracking

The mapping experience has been profoundly improved in this version. Map orientation is now optimized with a smoothed compass that eliminates sudden movements and parasitic oscillations. Real-time position tracking is now completely stutter-free, even during rapid movement in machinery on winding forest roads. The map responds instantly to zoom and pan gestures, and data layers load progressively without blocking the interface. It is a truly smooth experience that allows you to focus on the work rather than the tool.

Better battery life

Battery life is a critical concern for field users who spend long days without access to a power source. This update brings significant optimizations in this area: GPS and network sensor polling has been reduced to the strict minimum, an intelligent retry system avoids repetitive connection attempts that drain the battery, and a circuit breaker mechanism automatically shuts down non-essential processes when the battery reaches a critical threshold. The result is noticeably extended battery life that can make the difference between a full day of work and a dead device in the middle of the afternoon.

More reliable synchronization and Android 15+ support

Data synchronization between the field and the office has been strengthened with an automatic retry system and robust transaction management. In case of network interruption — a frequent situation in the forest — the system picks up exactly where it left off, without data loss or duplication. MobileLogix is also now fully compatible with Android 15+, taking advantage of edge-to-edge display to maximize available screen space. WearOS support has also been improved, allowing you to view essential information directly from a connected watch without taking the phone out of your pocket.

Multi-company management without data loss

For professionals who work with multiple forestry companies, MobileLogix now offers a fully seamless company context switch. Switch from one company to another without losing your current data, without having to reconnect and without reloading delays. GPS tracks, forms in progress and files awaiting synchronization are preserved for each company context. Automatic reloading of cartographic data and configurations happens in the background, ensuring you are always ready to work as soon as the switch is made.

This performance and reliability-focused update has been deployed to the Google Play Store. The G.A. Logix team continues to refine MobileLogix by carefully listening to feedback from field users. For any questions or to schedule a demonstration, contact us.
